Frequently Asked Questions

1. What is personal training, and how can it help me?

Personal training is a customised fitness program tailored to your specific goals, such as weight loss, muscle gain, improved performance, or general health. A trainer provides expert guidance, accountability, and motivation to help you achieve results safely and effectively.

2. Do I need to be fit to start personal training?

Absolutely not! Personal training is for everyone, no matter your current fitness level. Your trainer will design a program that suits your abilities and helps you progress at your own pace.

3. How do I know if personal training is right for me?

If you’re looking for expert guidance, personalised programs, and accountability to reach your fitness goals faster, personal training is an excellent option.

4. What should I expect during a training session?

A typical session includes a warm-up, customised exercises tailored to your goals, and a cool-down/stretching period. Every session is designed to be challenging yet achievable, with your goals and safety in mind.

5. How often should I train with a personal trainer?

The frequency depends on your goals, schedule, and budget. Many clients train 2–3 times per week, but even one session per week combined with independent workouts can be effective.

6. Do you offer online personal training?

Yes, I provide online coaching that includes personalized workout plans, video check-ins, and ongoing support to help you achieve your goals, no matter where you are.

7. Can you help with nutrition?

Yes! Nutrition is a crucial part of reaching your fitness goals. I provide tailored advice or meal planning guidance to complement your training program.

8. How long will it take to see results?

Results vary depending on your starting point, goals, and commitment. Many clients see noticeable improvements in 4–6 weeks, but long-term goals like significant weight loss or muscle gain may take longer.

9. What kind of equipment do I need for online training?

All sessions take place in a fully-equipped gym, so there’s no need for you to bring any kit. If you have kit that you would like to use outside of your sessions it can be incorporated into your program.

10. Do you offer group training or semi-private sessions?

Yes, I offer small group or semi-private training options for those who want a more cost-effective solution while still receiving personalized attention.

11. What if I have an injury or medical condition?

I can work with your general physician or physical therapist to design a program that’s safe and appropriate for your condition while helping you build strength and mobility.

12. Do you offer packages or discounts?

Yes, I offer packages for multiple sessions and sometimes discounts for referrals or long-term commitments. Contact me for more details.

13. Can I cancel or reschedule a session?

I have a flexible cancellation policy. Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice to reschedule without penalty.

14. What should I bring to my sessions?

Wear comfortable workout clothes, bring water, a towel, and any equipment requested for the session. Most importantly, bring a positive attitude and readiness to work!
